Visibility & Wayfinding Sign
for Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store
This wayfinding sign for Union Gospel Mission addressed a visibility issue for their thrift store, which sits far back in a parking lot despite having a large wall facing Pacific Highway. While the location had strong potential for visibility, customers often had difficulty locating the entrance because it wasn’t clearly legible from the road or immediately obvious within the site layout.
The design focused on increasing clarity and discoverability from a distance, using large-scale environmental graphics to better connect the street-facing wall with the actual storefront. The goal was to help guide visitors intuitively from the roadway into the parking lot and toward the entrance, improving overall accessibility and awareness of the space.
